1. Never Chase a stock like a dog: Dont get crazy behind a running stock. You are bound to end up on a loosing note on majority of occasions.
2. Buy when everyone sells and sell when everyone buys: When you see every other person in the market is on the shopping spree, close your ears and start selling your holdings. Similarly, when all the guys around are selling in panic, choose the fundamentally strong counters and start buying.
3. Invest Regularly: Invest in a set of stocks regularly ( every month/quarter/year). Dont invest in a fixed number of shares but go for a fixed amount. This will make you buy less number of shares at high prices and high number of shares at low prices. You will always end up as a winner.
